Projects

Automated Evaluation Portal

Designing a web-based solution for iSaksham NGO to automatically evaluate assignments of students and generating progress reports along with suggestions and correct solutions.Multiple assignments submitted on a WhatsApp group in the form of text messages from different users are fed to the web API and custom text/pdf based reports (in both HIndi and English) of users are generated for the evaluator.

BharatGrows

Devised a one stop solution for starting up where startups, investors, consultants, job seekers can come together and interact. Used MySQL to maintain a database of all the users, perform various queries and designed the UI of the system using JavaFX.

Color Switch

Developed an obstacle-based, fast-moving GUI based game with emphasis on Object Oriented Programming and event-driven programming. Chosen among best projects in the Advanced programming course.

Peacify

Designed a mental well being app which connects individuals with professional, self help groups and provides relaxation methods at one platform. This project has been selected for future study in Living Lab (Prof. Grace Eden) at IIITD.

Fittainment

Developed an interactive exercise platform for users to play 3 different video games where inputs are received through exercises like running, jumping, hand gripping among others. Used Arduinos, sensors, Processing tool to create this amazing amalgam of Software and Hardware. Project selected for future study in Weave Lab.

Rummy

Designed a GUI based Rummy game using pyGame. This single player game was played against a computer which had 3 different pattern matching algorithm being used.

Naroman Simulation

Developed an interactive pacman game where users had to play using by moving/gesturing in real life. We also tried to incorporate the gameplay of Table Tennis in a unique way in this project.

Professional Experience

Summer Research Intern

Working on the online proctoring system of Extramarks EdTech. My role involves analyzing the speaker diarization system, developing a clustering model for real time diarization and also work on improvising silence/background noise removal techniques. The project is being supervised by Prof. Mukesh Mohania.

During the process, I have studied various publications in the domain of speaker diarization and also prepared a literature survey comparing and analyzing the different solutions as presented by many individuals. At Extramarks, I have been assigned to help develop a high accuracy model especially of real time speaker diarization that is semi supervised.

Teaching Assistant

Working as a Teaching Assistant for the course Probability and Statistics, being offered in the winter 2021 semester by Prof. Acushla Saraswat. My role involves conducting weekly tutorial classes, doubt resolution, assignment evaluations and general management of the course.

All aspects of the Semantic Web and Knowledge Graphs,and their applications to different domains such as healthcare, air pollution, and robotics.
I am still new to the world of semantic web and improving my knowledge by being a part of the reading groups of the Lab. I have also been a part of the web development team of the lab.

Responsibilities and Initiatives

ACM IIITD Student Chapter

I initiated this student chapter along with my batchmate and under the guidance of Prof. Rajiv Ratn Shah in October 2019. Currently, I am the coordinator of the club which has 30+ memebrs. Over the time we have organized several coding events and ideathon. I have been the problem setter in many of the contests which were organized on platforms like Codeforces and Codechef. We have also developed and launched a blogging portal exclusively for IIIT-D students to share their skills and experiences.

Student Council IIITD

I am Head of Communications and also the representative of CSE'19 branch at the student council since January 2021. This role has taught me the core functioning of many student related activities, team work and has also improved my ability to take good and efficient decisions.

IEEE IIITD Student Chapter

I was the part of IEEE student chapter from August 2019 to August 2020. During my time there, I was the webmaster and sponsorship manager for IEEE DSC organized in October 2019. After that, I have also taken up the role of Secretary and Vice chairperson during which I have been the elad organizer of many seminars and events, including a coding fortnightathon which was attended by 850+ students.

Seminars and Fests

I have a keen interest in event organization and management and I have been fortunate to be a part of some amazing events at IIITD. I have volunteered for Toast to Code event in Esya'19 (Techfest of IIITD). After that, I have been an organizing team member at the cultural fest Odyssey'20 where I was incharge of sponsorship and stall management. I am fortunate to also be given the opportunity to be a lead student organizer of IEEE Bigmm Conference 2020 where I got chance to interact with some amazing speakers as well as many talented students.
